Believe it or not, it's just me" -The Greatest American Hero TODAY is my 365th daily photo and I'm jumping for joy! Hooooray!! My last tiny info: * Taken at least 30 shots to get this 'right' (focus, exposure, height of the jump). * Not the best composition, but I'm OK with it. * Forgot to bring paper & big marker, so I used napkin & red lipstick to write 365. * Wind blew the napkin many times, finally used the lens cap & tucked the corners under some weeds. * See contenders under Alternate gallery and more of this red shoes under Travelling Red Shoes gallery. I decided to challenge myself to use the lowest possible ISO (125); and the highest f-stop (f/22) or smaller aperture for all my shots this week. Reason? To get the best details throughout the image. That means... my tripod is going with me wherever I go. Hmm... maybe I should reconsider it. Laissez les bon temps rouler! ...or should I say... f/8 and be there!?! Tiny info: * used battery flashlight (no fancy flash). * camera on tripod, 18-105mm VR - see EXIF for more details. * post processing: cropped & added vignette on Lightroom.
karinaboese > Houston Sunset Mon. March 2, 2009 (Day 321) This is the most spectacular sunset that I've ever seen in Houston. I stop at Barker Reservoir on the way home & ran up the hill to capture the lights... There were a few runners who stop to watch the sunset; this is one of them. See more of the sunset shots in Texas, USA gallery. "Pretty in Prime" Challenge day 7 of 7. See day 1 of 7 This shot was taken with D50 & 50mm f/1.8 Nikkor. What a great day to end the challenge. Tiny note: * Cropped & added a bit of contrast on LR * Wished to use f/16 or higher, but it was impossible w/ handheld. * Wished I had 18mm w/ me too... * Realised the date on D50 set up incorrectly- 1 day behind. It is fixed now.
karinaboese > Pretty in Red Sat. November 1, 2008 (DAY 201) Meet Miranda... I had a photo session for her sweet 16. We had a great time and the weather was gorgeous; One perfect day to take outdoor shots. April set up the location at Forbidden Garden, complete with the Lion Dancer! Thanks April, that was fun!! This photo is SOOC (straight out of camera). I'm still working on the rest of the pics, that I think need some touch ups. My hubby helped me (again) with the reflector. Thank you dear!
