Spreading Coreopsis Seeds
Wed. May 7, 2008 (Day 25)
I'm still obsessed with
yesterday's wasp shot.
This one is from a different angle. I could see that the focus happened to be on its wing. Fortunately, this one caught the falling seeds in mid air! This bee was working so hard going from flower to flower. He (or she?) was really digging into the dead flowers. If you see
yesterday's shot, this flower is the one on the right.
Now I know EXACTLY how my Coreopsis are self-seeding!
Is it a bee? a wasp? a hornet? or...?
Jesse: yes - all of the colors in this shot are real/natural. Thank you!
