karinaboese > My First Bible
Tue. June 3, 2008 (Day 52)

It took 52 days Daily Photos to remember that my Grandpa deserves all the credit for my shots. He gave me my first SLR camera back in 1986. I still have that Ricoh, complete with the fisheye lens...Along with this book, Copyright 1954 by Popular Mechanics Press.

I wish that he had a chance to see what we can do now. One simple shot + a little bit of Insert here + Backspace there and you can create totally different photos.

Nothing WOW on today's shot - just a sentimental value. Thank you Grandpa, I miss you.

My Twin's Self-Portrait?
karinaboese > Don't Judge The Rock by Its Surface
Thu. May 1, 2008 (Day 19)

I just got a geode from a coworker and the rock rocks!
I used all natural light for this shot. The glare is real, reflecting the sun.
Maybe I'll become a geologist in the next life.

Note:
I moved the The Death of The Tulip Shot to my Flowers' Gallery.
karinaboese > Fresh Produce
Sat. June 28, 2008 (Day 77)

Went to farmers market on Friday's lunch time. Bought tons of fruits & veggies. When I checked out, I only had to give the cashier $10 bill...and she gave me back some change. What a deal!

 Jade at the FG
Thank you LadyKates: I was thinking the same. I shot this from various different angles, but thought I play with dof at the front this time.

Hmmm... but then, maybe it's too distracting.
karinaboese > Photo Enforced!!!
Wed. April 16, 2008 (Day 4)

I'm not sure how it is enforced, but I didn't want to take any chances by not taking a picture of it. So here it is.

We passed this sign on the way to the German restaurant, I said to my husband, "OH! That would be a cool sign!". He asked me, if I wanted him to drive around so I can take a pic of it. I said naaa, thought I would take it another day. He turned around the block anyway and found a spot to park. ...It felt like I was being enforced... Thank you dear!
karinaboese > Left Over
Tue. May 27, 2008 (Day 45)

Went to a pizza place on Westheimer at Shadowbriar on Monday. They saved the broken road sign after Hurricane Rita. I was lucky, my husband & I didn't leave town so we didn't stuck in that horrible traffic. We rode Rita all night long.

Weird isn't it? Yesterday's & today's shots are something that reminds me of the last Hurricane that hit Houston. Hmm... I believe, June is the beginning of the hurricane season again.
karinaboese > 4th of July
Fri. July 4, 2008 (Day 83)

Happy 4th to my fellow Americans!

We've been hauling sand & stones to our backyard to extend our patio all day. It'll be our long weekend project. Ooooh boy... there goes my pretty nails.
karinaboese > Have a great weekend, everybody!
Sat. May 24, 2008 (Day 42)

Time to pour the beer & Have Fun
Nice cold beer!!! hmmmm....
karinaboese > Under The Houston Moon
Fri. June 13, 2008 (Day 62)

I've been a sucker for long-exposure shots lately.
Saw some cumulus clouds around the moon about 9pm tonight, thought I give it a chance. There is a small white dot next to the moon, it's not dust, it's a star.

Another shot with D50 on the tripod,
Another 30sec triggered with ML-L3 remote,
Aloe Vera Under The Houston Moon.
