karinaboese > The Key
Sun. September 13, 2009 (Day 112)

The key to a great week is having a nice relaxing Sunday....and that's what I'm having right now!

Do you know that the lock originated in the Near East, and the earliest known lock to be operated by a key was the Egyptian lock. Possibly 4,000 years old, this large wooden lock was found in the ruins of the palace of Khorsabad near Nineveh, the ancient capital of Assyria. The ancient Romans built the first metal locks, and their iron locks and bronze keys are easily recognizable even today.

karinaboese > Nothing
Sat. August 1, 2009 (Day 69)

I basically slept this day away...
Nothing exciting happened today.
Just letting myself rest a lot more.

I shot several things throughout the day,
but nothing strikes me.
Then I remembered Hershy's comment from yesterday,
that these past few days I've "created shots out of nothing".

Well, I guess this one is really out of nothing.
Thanks for the idea, Harsh. :)

Tiny info:
* still with 50mm lens.
* battery flash lighting.
* add Matt's sin city's effect on Lightroom.
karinaboese > Eat Red
Thu. July 30, 2009 (Day 67)

"A growing body of science links cherries’ red color, provided by the fruit’s powerful antioxidants – called anthocyanins – to heart-health benefits related to reducing inflammation, total cholesterol, and belly fat. " - www.choosecherries.com

YAY! I think I just found a solution to get rid of my beer belly!
Ah.... I feel much better than yesterday already.

Tiny info:
* This is SOOC
* D50 with 50mm lens f/1.8
* Window lighting

...so, if you are wondering where is the focus,
it's on the tip of the stem; but don't ask me why.
karinaboese > Under Pressure
Tue. April 14, 2009 (Day 364)

I cannot sit still... thinking about what to shoot tomorrow.

Countdown to day 365... Today is 364!!!!

Thanks for the pressure, guys. Yeah, you... you know who you are ;)
OK seriously, THANK YOU so much for all your comments & checking daily on my 365 Project.
I've been having a lot of fun & it is a great pleasure to share it with you.

Tiny info:
* Long exposure f/22 - 30sec. Aperture priority, no tripod (camera sat on the table).
* Black curtain on the background; a piece of torn paper taped on the curtain.
* See the 2nd contender under Alternative gallery.
* Added a bit of higher contrast on LR- that's it.

karinaboese > Almost Mardi Gras
Tue. February 17, 2009 (Day 308)

Next week is the Fat Tuesday...

I decided to challenge myself to use the lowest possible ISO (125);
and the highest f-stop (f/22) or smaller aperture for all my shots this week.
Reason? To get the best details throughout the image.

That means... my tripod is going with me wherever I go. Hmm... maybe I should reconsider it.

Laissez les bon temps rouler! ...or should I say... f/8 and be there!?!

Tiny info:
* used battery flashlight (no fancy flash).
* camera on tripod, 18-105mm VR - see EXIF for more details.
* post processing: cropped & added vignette on Lightroom.
