karinaboese > Red, White, and Blue
Wed. May 21, 2008 (Day 39)

I was driving around at lunch time today and noticed big poles in front of worship center. Drove in there and took a quick shot of the flags.

DON'T YOU LOVE THE COLORS?!?
Yeah...I'm a Texan!
karinaboese > Another Lovely Commute Shot
Tue. May 20, 2008 (Day 38)

This one is for Myki -- sample of my (other) go-to-work shot.

Another day, another traffic
Another morning, another sunrise
I guess I should be glad to be able to see this beauty
Even though I still have to pay being on the jammed-toll road
(I know it's not rhymey at all)

Shelly - I cannot remember the BEFORE time. I guess because I didn't use it, it didn't really matter to me. Now, every morning my life depends on THAT road!
karinaboese > 2008CE Cameo
Mon. May 19, 2008 (Day 37)

Went to our friends' house yesterday. We had The Varghese's Maternity Photo Session. I went to use their bathroom & came out giggling to myself. Jen asked me what's going on... I told her, "I want to take a photo of you in the bathroom."

The shape of the bathroom window is beautiful. With her in front of it, it reminds me of my Grandma's cameo pendant.

There's nothing fancy on this shot: Natural light, backlighting, no photoshop (because I don't have it.. LOL!). It just came out from a simple mind.

karinaboese > Almost Full Moon
Sun. May 18, 2008 (Day 36)

We were on the road all day yesterday. So this is the best one that I can come up with.

This time, I was in the passenger seat! I took a few shots of the moon & these trees. Some of them were kindda blurry. This one is not too sharp, but at least beareable to see and have nice colors.
karinaboese > Paddle Plant (Kalanchoe luciae)
Sat. May 17, 2008 (Day 35)

The most vibrant succulent that I ever have!
karinaboese > A-HAH!!!
Fri. May 16, 2008 (Day 34)

Now I know! This is what caused my Day Lilies to look sickly this year!!!
What is this little bugger, anyway? I thought the first time, it was somekind of beetle. Aaaaaaaaaarrgh!!!

Hillary: The blue background are the gladiols.
karinaboese > A Simple Reminder of The Day
Thu. May 15, 2008 (Day 33)

My boss gave me this card years ago and I always like looking at it. The frogs make me smile; the simple message on it, somehow very meaningful for me. I pin it on my board next to my computer monitor at work.

Still not sure if I like this cropped or not.
 See cropped version

The orange flowers in front of the card is Sun Star (Ornithogalum Dubium). It's a perennial bulb; native to South Africa (Cape Province).
karinaboese > "What?!? You took my picture?"
Wed. May 14, 2008 (Day 32)

We went to Mission Burrito for dinner. Didn't have my flash with me tonight; but my husband happily volunteered to be the object of another slow motion shot.

There's nothing fancy (again) with this shot. Just playing with the long-exposure, that is.
karinaboese > Wished I Could Play THAT Fast
Tue. May 13, 2008 (Day 31)

I wished I could be more creative on my Daily Photos.
I wished I don't have a brain-dead today.
Sigh...

300m - Hillary - HippyfromOZ: THANK YOU!!! :)

Graham: ...because it was so fast, you can't see if the keys were depressed. or the shutter speed was so slow?!? LOL!

OK - I need to add my THANK YOU. You guys, as a community, are excellent. Very uplifting! Thank you!!!
